At the beginning of the week The Six of Coins was drawn from the Golden Tarot by Kat Black and published by U.S. Games, Inc. In the card, a wealthy merchant is weighing and distributing alms. There is a white castle on the hill in the background surrounded by green fields. Some of the key words when we think of the Six of Coins are generosity, giving, receiving, wealth, and abundance. When this card comes up, we may experience money coming to us, maybe through an inheritance, an act of kindness, a debt repaid or an unexpected surprise. This is the season of giving and we can give in so many different ways. It’s fun to think of creative ways to give and also to pay it forward. Some of my favorite movies with this message is, Pay it Forward, Forrest Gump, Bruce Almighty, and The Butterfly Effect. Wouldn’t it be nice for the season of giving to extend throughout the year and it can! It might be fun to add on our monthly or weekly planner, things we can give throughout the year. I like to remember to give lots of smiles and hugs. And we can extend this not only to people but all sentient beings. The the flip side of giving is to learn the art of receiving. That was something it took me awhile to learn. Sometimes just a thank you is all you need.
