Tarot and Astrology for the Beginning of the Week Oct. 31, 2016 With the...

"There is a child in every one of us who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly-lit front porch." - Robert Brault

I’m popping with a few short videos this week as I was pinched for time last week with work to do a longer video, but now that’s a good thing too. We start our week on Halloween, Samhain, Hallowmas, then All Souls Day and honor our European sister the Baba Yaga and Hecate, the Greek Goddess of the Crossroads. I deeply connect with her as in my practice, one of my specialties is working with those going through transitions of all kinds. So let's see what treats the beginning of the week holds for us.

Tarot And Astrology Reading For The Week Of October 17, 2016, With The H...

“Being Celtic, I still believe this. Being human, I believe Halloween is the perfect reminder that magic flows through us, mystery infuses every encounter of every day. We conjure up the shoe that cannot be found anywhere in the house, transform leftovers into a feast, coax bounty from barren earth, banish fear, heal hurts, make money stretch till the end of the month…. we are descendants of an ancient, sacred lineage: the She.”  Sarah Ban Breathnach, - Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort of Joy Abundance

This week I’m reading with the whimsical and magical Halloween Tarot by By Karin Lee,  Art by Kipling West (The Halloween Tarot: published and used with the permission of U.S. Games Systems. c. 1996. All right reserved https://www.usgamesinc.com/Halloween-Tarot/)  As the leaves swirl around us and the wind blows, this time of year there is anticipation for the magic of the season!   It may sound strange, but I know many of you will understand, Halloween and All Souls Day  is one of my favorite times of the year!   It’s a time when the veil is thin and we can slip between the worlds - there’s magic and mystery.  So this is a perfect deck to read with this month!  The images in this deck are playful but don’t be tricked, this deck can give you an amazing reading. I have the standard size deck but now there is a smaller one available in a tin!  The suits in the Halloween Tarot are represented by Ghosts for Cups, Imps for Wands, Bats for Swords, and Pumpkins for Pentacles.  And our bonus is there is a black cat that wanders about the deck!  “When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam, May luck be yours on Halloween.” So let’s see who we will meet along the way in our reading.  And like our black cat, we can be the observer to see what stands out for us in each card and also come along for the ride!

Astrology And Tarot Reading For The Week Of October 10, 2016, With The C...

“What greater gift than the love of a cat?” - Charles Dickens
This week I’m reading with the mysterious and curious Cat’s Eye Tarot by Debra M. Givin, who is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. (Cat’s Eye Tarot: published and used with the permission of U.S. Games Systems. c. 2011. All right reserved https://www.usgamesinc.com/Cat-s-Eye-Tarot/) In the Minor Arcana, Debra uses Brown Tabbies for Pentacles, the sweet Black and Whites for Cups, the talkative Siamese for Swords and our favorite and flashy Red Tabbies for Wands. Cats are perfect teachers, as they remind us to pay attention to the visible and invisible, and notice the energy around us.

Astrology And Tarot Reading For The Week Of October 3, 2016, With The Ga...

We are still under the spell of our Libra New Moon on Friday and the energy of a New Moon last for over a week to 10 days. We still have time to take advantage of the sweetness this New Moon brings. And we are in a new month, a 1 month in Numerology which is the start of new things and represents the Magician in Tarot. There is magic in the air this month! We have everything we need so let’s get started!
This week I’m reading with the recently released Gaian Tarot created byJoanna Powell Colbert and published by Schiffer Bookshttps://www.schifferbooks.com/. With Fall and the Harvest upon us, It’s my come home to deck. Joanna is also offering a Six Week E-Course called: Gaian Tarot - For Tarot Beginners and it might not be too late to register so do check it out at the GaianTarot.com. I was in the Gaian Circle when Joanna’s deck originally came out, Joanna is a true wisdom teacher. What first drew me to the Gaian Tarot is, it’s a nature based deck, multicultural, gorgeous colors and rich with symbolism. So let’s see what messages we receive this week!
