Tarot and Astrology Reading for the Week of May 23, 2015 With The Golden...

Tarot and Astrology Reading for the Week of May 23, 2015 With The Golden Universal Tarot

Hi I’m Maggie Lukowski from Maggie Moon Tarot, and here are the vibes for the week!  We are moving through the Gemini Sun and Saturn opposition today, so keep it chill, and then on Sunday, the Moon squares Uranus and is void of course in Leo before it moves into Virgo.  During these void of course times, generally it’s not advisable to do something new, but quite times with established friends or family, we can catch up on things, items that have been previously lost seem to reappear and just know we might feel a bit floatly.   We have two Squares to Neptune this week, on Monday, Memorial Day, Mars squares Neptune.  Don’t feel pushed or pulled both others or their opinions and we may feel a tad sensitive.   Then on Friday, Mercury squares Neptune a time to be awake to things that seem too good to be true.  As the saying goes, “Not all that glitters is not gold.”  We are more vulnerable in the emotional and romantic areas too.  Old things and people from the past may pop up, so deal with these straight on, look at what role you want to play if any with compassion.  Get the rest you need this week along with paying extra special attention to signs that are shown to you and messages that come through in dreamtime.  The cleaver Gemini Sun will also help us figure out ways to navigate these energies and shake it off as Gemini moves things along for us, also adding restorative activities to our schedule, like yoga, mediation, any type of movement, a favorite uplighting book or movie will help.

This week I’m reading with the stunning Golden Universal Tarot by Roberto De Angelis published by Lo Scarabeo.  I love the gold accents on the cards, they make a beautiful vignette in any setting and especially in lower lit areas.  So let’s begin our reading for the week and I invite you to allow each card, symbol, color and image speak to your own intuition!

Straight out of the gate the The Magician pops out reminding us we have the power, everything we need, the magic is in us.  His shadow side can be distinguishing what is fantasy and what is reality, similar to the squares of Neptune this week.  The Magician’s astrological correspondence is Mars and Mercury, which is interesting with our Astrology for the week.  When these signs work in alignment, we have the active energy needed to propel us forward and achieve anything we desire.  The Magician’s number is one, and this vibration is of independent thinking, anything we think, name and claim it we can create. It reminds me of a quote from the new thought author Ernest Holmes in his book Science of The Mind published in 1926,  “Prepare your mind to receive the best that life has to offer.”

The energy Midweek, comes from the Four of Swords. The figure in this card is in repose, in meditation or prayer, our inner peaceful state.  He does have a sword lying across him, so if he needs to take action, he is ready.  The stained glass window in the background shows more of an outer activity, a man kneeling in front of a woman, blending the male, our conscious mind and the female, our unconscious mind during our resting or dream state.  The element for Swords is Air, our thoughts, and in the card speaks  to us of rest, especially around over thinking, the answer that we are seeking will reveal itself if we do not push or force things.  The fours are about manifesting and there are different ways to do this. The Astrology for this card is Jupiter in Libra.  Jupiter, the benefactor, gives us the nod that all good things will come in their own time and allows the Libra energy to relax a bit taking all the time we need to realize our dreams.

And at the end of the week, the Eight of Wands the element of Fire, a card of movement. We see 8 golden wands in motion, some getting reading to hit their mark.  There is a body of water in the card which can represent our emotions about how this is all going to sort out.  It’s like setting off fireworks, excitement and expectation.  Our intentions at the beginning of our Taurus New Moon last week are in motion and some are getting ready to manifest quickly while others are still gaining momentum, expanding, aligning with other elements and may look a bit different than we expected but ultimately being delivered at the right time.  The astrology for this card is Mercury in Sagittarius, restlessness, shifts and optimistic energy.  Our  intentions and visions are turning into reality expanding our possibilities.

So this week the Magician’s energy is about taking inspired action toward our dreams while seeing through any illusion, the Four of Swords reminds us to relax into the mystery and the Eight of Wands inspires us to shine brightly, each wand is a part of ourselves expanding, activating our resources and lighting up our life.
